Timeless Teachings in a Changing World
We at Noor Academy follow Montessori education for Preschool. Montessori philosophy takes care of the child as a whole being; emotionally, cognitively, and physically.
At this young age, children learn better with hands-on learning, and this kind of education is an essential aspect of Montessori Teaching. The Montessori method also encourages self-paced learning, and teachers are actively involved in teaching lessons based on the student's pace.
As the students enter KG, we have both Montessori and traditional forms of teaching. Students benefit from both methodologies. Students are prepared to work in both Montessori & Traditional environments.
Grades 1 and 2 follow Michigan Common Core Standards. The curriculum is well balanced and inculcates both Academic and Islamic Studies. Teachers maintain and follow up with each student's classwork and homework carefully. The structured routine helps the students grasp the educational concepts, and this encourages them to learn more.
